We collect the information needed to respond to you, deliver the guides and tools you buy, run the website, and keep in touch if you have asked us to.

About this policy

This policy covers midliferenaissance.co and how Midlife Renaissance handles personal information collected through the website, purchases, email, the contact form, and the guided tools on the site. It does not cover other businesses’ websites, even when we link to them.

Midlife Renaissance aims to handle personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), and uses those principles as a guide to responsible privacy practice.

This page is a plain-English explanation of our practices. It is not a substitute for legal advice, and it has not yet been through formal legal review. [OPERATIONAL ACTION: have this page reviewed by an Australian lawyer before relying on it as a compliance document]

Who we are

Midlife Renaissance is operated by Danielle Tantulli (ABN 25 882 260 858), trading as The Wealth Renaissance, based in Queensland, Australia.

  • Website: https://midliferenaissance.co
  • Privacy contact: frankie@midliferenaissance.co
  • Postal address: we currently operate on an email-only basis.

There is one person behind Midlife Renaissance — Frankie. Privacy questions and requests come straight to her.

Information we collect

What we collect depends on how you use the site. It generally falls into these categories:

  • Identity and contact information — your name and email address, and, if you give it to us, a phone number or billing address.
  • Purchase and order information — what you bought, order and payment status, refund records, and billing details.
  • Account information — your username and any saved preferences, if you create an account to buy a guide.
  • Messages — anything you send us through the contact form (including what you tell us the message is about) or by email.
  • Newsletter information — your email address and subscription status, if you sign up.
  • Website and technical information — IP address, browser and device type, approximate location, the pages you visit, and how you arrived here. This is collected automatically by the website and its hosting.
  • Reflective information — if you use The Plan Before the Plan, whatever you choose to type into that conversation. See “AI tools and reflective information” below.

We do not ask for sensitive information (such as health details) on purpose, and we’d ask you not to volunteer more of it than you need to. Midlife Renaissance is not a therapy, medical, legal, or financial-advice service, and nothing on this site should be treated as one.

How we collect it

Mostly, directly from you — filling in a form, buying something, emailing us, or typing into a tool on the site. Some information, like your IP address and browser type, is collected automatically by the website and the services that run it, including our hosting provider and Jetpack.

You can browse most of the site without telling us who you are. We only need identifying information when you buy something, subscribe, get in touch, or create an account.

Why we use it

We use the information we collect to:

  • respond to your messages
  • deliver the guide, tool, or product you have purchased
  • process orders, payments, and refunds
  • run your account, if you have one
  • send the newsletter, if you have subscribed — and let you unsubscribe
  • keep the website secure and working properly
  • keep the business and tax records we are required to keep
  • meet our legal obligations
  • understand, in a general and aggregated way, how the site is used, so we can improve it

We do not use your information for anything unrelated to these purposes without asking you first.

AI tools and reflective information

The Plan Before the Plan is a guided conversation tool on this site, built on Anthropic’s Claude. When you use it, what you type is sent to Anthropic to generate a response, and the tool itself runs on Cloudflare’s infrastructure.

A few things worth knowing before you use it:

  • It is a mirror, not a therapist. It can help you sort your thoughts and find one honest next step. It cannot replace a real person, and it is not a substitute for professional mental health care.
  • If you are in immediate danger or thinking about suicide, please contact Lifeline on 13 11 14, or emergency services on 000.
  • Please avoid typing more personal or sensitive detail than the conversation actually needs.
  • We do not use what you type there to build an advertising profile of you.
  • No content is stored or used by anyone or any service. Any chats are deleted once the window has been closed.

The breakthrough, and the decision, is always yours. The tool is a handrail, not the author of your life.

Cookies, analytics and embedded content

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Ours are used for a few things:

  • Essential cookies — these keep the shopping cart, checkout, and login working. The site will not function properly without them.
  • Analytics — we use Jetpack Stats, run by Automattic (the company behind WordPress.com), to see, in aggregate, how many people visit the site and roughly how they found it. It does not identify you personally.
  • Embedded content — if a page embeds something from another site, that provider may set its own cookies, exactly as if you had visited their site directly.

At the time of writing, we do not run advertising trackers such as Meta, Google, TikTok, Snapchat, or Reddit pixels on the live site.

When you first visit, a short banner lets you know cookies are in use and links back to this page. It is a notice rather than a full preference centre — we do not currently offer separate accept/decline toggles for each category, since the only non-essential cookie in play right now is Jetpack Stats. You can always block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though the shop and checkout may not work properly if you block essential ones.

Payments and purchases

When you buy something, we collect your name, email address, billing details, and order information. Card and payment details themselves are handled directly by our payment providers — we do not see or store your full card number.

At checkout, payment is currently handled through:

  • WooCommerce Payments (card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay)
  • Afterpay, if you choose to pay in instalments

Marketing communications

If you sign up for the newsletter, we use your email address to send you updates from Midlife Renaissance through MailPoet. Buying a guide does not automatically sign you up for marketing emails — those are separate, and kept that way on purpose.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, free of charge, no reason needed. We may still send operational emails about an order or your account even after you have unsubscribed from marketing — those are not marketing, they are how we deliver what you paid for.

Who we share information with

We share information with the service providers who help us run Midlife Renaissance — and only what they need to do their job for us:

  • Hosting and security — SiteGround
  • Website and forms — Jetpack (Automattic)
  • Payments — WooCommerce Payments, Afterpay
  • Email marketing — MailPoet
  • Store platform — WooCommerce
  • The Plan Before the Plan — Cloudflare (hosting) and Anthropic (the AI model that powers the conversation)
  • Professional advisers — Me, mostly. I hold three different expensive certificates — one says I’m an accountant, one says I’m a communications specialist, and one says I know some law things.
  • Government or regulators — where we are legally required to share information

We do not sell your personal information to data brokers or advertisers.

Overseas processing and disclosure

Some of the providers above are based overseas or operate on infrastructure outside Australia — including Anthropic (United States) and Cloudflare (a global network).

Overseas privacy and data-protection laws may differ from Australia’s. We choose established providers with their own privacy commitments, but we cannot guarantee that another country’s laws will match Australian protections.

How we protect information

We use reasonable, practical measures to protect the information we hold — including reputable hosting, security monitoring through our host, restricted admin access, and keeping software up to date.

No website can be guaranteed completely secure. If we become aware of a data breach likely to cause serious harm, we will act on it and, where the law requires it, notify affected people and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). [OPERATIONAL ACTION: write a short internal data-breach response plan, even a one-page one]

How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as we reasonably need it — to deliver what you bought, answer your enquiry, meet our tax and accounting obligations (generally five years in Australia), or resolve a dispute.

After that, we aim to delete or de-identify it, though copies may remain in backups for a while longer. [OPERATIONAL ACTION: set a formal retention schedule for each record type, rather than relying on a general “as long as needed” standard]

Access, correction and deletion

You can ask us:

  • what personal information we hold about you
  • to correct anything that is wrong, outdated, or incomplete
  • to delete information we no longer need to keep

Email frankie@midliferenaissance.co and we will get back to you. We may need to check it is really you before we act on the request, and we will always tell you if there is a reason we cannot do what you have asked — for example, information we are legally required to keep for tax purposes.

Withdrawing marketing consent does not undo anything we did lawfully before you withdrew it, and deleting something from our live systems may not remove it instantly from secure backups.

Privacy complaints

If something about how we have handled your information does not sit right:

  1. Email frankie@midliferenaissance.co and tell us what happened.
  2. We will acknowledge it within 5 business days and aim to resolve it within 30 days.
  3. If you are not satisfied, and the Privacy Act applies to us, you can take it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

Children and young people

Midlife Renaissance is built for adults navigating midlife.

These products are not intended for people under 18. The guides ask readers to sit with inner truths in a way children are not yet equipped to navigate alone.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information without a parent or guardian’s permission, please contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page as the tools, providers, or laws we work with change. The “last updated” date at the top will reflect that. If a change is significant, we will try to flag it somewhere visible on the site.

[OPERATIONAL ACTION: review this policy at least once a year, and whenever a new plugin, payment method, analytics tool, or AI feature goes live]

Questions about your information?

Privacy should not feel like a locked room. If you have a question, want to access or correct your information, or something feels off, get in touch.
